About Us.

We are Dan and Jan Allen. After retiring in May of 2013, we purchased Heber Sew 'N Vac/Quilter's Corner Fabric in August of that same year. We both like the challenge of new projects. With this new venture, we have had the privilege of visiting with people all over the US as well as several other countries.

I taught Family and Consumer Science (Home Ec) for 35 years. Even though I had sewn my whole life, I had not done a lot of quilting. I will be the first to tell you that I have learned a lot since 2013 and continue learning. I have held classes on hand embroidery, beginning sewing, piecing quilt tops, etc.

Speaking of learning, Dan taught high school mathematics for 20 years before going into investments and insurance. After moving to Heber Springs, he quickly jumped into learning how to repair sewing machines and vacuums.
